Working with lime during my apprenticeship opened my eyes to the original ways buildings were built and how they needed to be maintained. I was fortunate enough to be able to use a variety of materials and learnt how to apply them in a suitable way for traditional buildings.
I gained further experience working for local conservation companies and undertaking some interesting projects, sparking more passion for the restoration of buildings.
Furthering my works with lime, I set up alone and began operating under Tom Goodey Plastering successfully for over 10 years, working across North Wales and Cheshire. We have specialised in traditional lime render and plaster (lime putty & hydraulic lime).
Both experience and continuous business growth has seen the company evolve into The Snowdonia Lime Company.
At The Snowdonia Lime Company our lines of work are normally split to two sides of the business:
- Conservation building contractor undertaking all aspects of traditional building works
- Specialised machine applied lime plaster and lime render sub contractor.
We strive to repair and restore buildings with a sympathetic approach, meticulous attention to detail and a high level of professionalism.
