Traditional buildings are generally defined as those built with solid walls (no cavity) from a range of natural materials including stone, earth, brick, wood and lime.
Properties were plastered dependant on many factors such as: local tradition, availability of materials, fashion trends or even just to consolidate the substrates.
Due to the above we have worked on a wide range of building types allowing us to apply plasters and renders in a number of different styles and finishes.
Works can vary from: Complete back to masonry internal / external plastering & rendering to basic consolidation repairs & patching defective areas.
Using traditional mortars and methods we feel we can apply our knowledge to all types of properties and backgrounds.

Typically partitions and ceilings pre 1930's were lathed and plastered, we can assess damages or failures and if needed, repair or renew. Using various methods and plasters we undertake all aspects of lath & plasterwork.
In many areas there is a need to apply lime mortar to partition walls & suspended ceilings, a lime carrier board can be fitted as an alternative to lath. We have fitted a number of different boards on the market ready to receive a lime plaster / render.
